Perfect size for bedbound patients

So thrilled to find this! I don't know why the larger big-gulp-sized carafes are used in most hospitals, as they are too big to use in bed, and too heavy for an elderly patient to handle. This size is ridiculously hard to find, and is the perfect size for a bed bound patient. It is large enough to not have to refill constantly. Not so large that it is too heavy to handle. Has a handle to make it easy to pick up and hold. Is squat enough to make it easy to drink from when partially recumbent. The only downside is that the inner insulated piece ends up separating from the unit. This may be sure to my laziness... Opting for the dishwasher instead of handwashing it. So if you are lazy like me, I recommend buying several of these when ordering, as they seem to be a needle in a haystack item when it comes time to replace. All the other positives if this carafe far outweigh having to replace it every so often. Especially for the price!
